Dredging at Conwy Marina
Please be aware that the dredging works in Conwy marina are now in full operation and if you plan on visiting the marina please be extremely vigilant as there may be wires, mooring lines or strops across pontoon walkways and fingers and particularly in close proximity to the dredging area and beyond the yellow safety cones. During the works pontoon walkways can move and become distorted and you are to proceed with caution and diligence. If you do not require access to a vessel in the interest of safety please do not proceed beyond the yellow cones.
Dredging Operations will normally take place Monday to Friday to allow vessels free passage over a weekend, however because of tides, weather and other statutory restrictions there will be some weekends where dredging will be taking place.
Please be advised that there is a dredging pipeline running from the Southern end of ‘B’-Hammerhead to the North-Eastern rock revetment. The pipe is partially submerged and weighted down to reduce restriction. Access and egress should be made between the yellow spherical buoy and the rock revetment keeping as close as possible to the buoy. Safe access and egress is generally 1-2 hours either side of high water and vessels are to engage their engine into neutral when passing over the pipe.
No access or egress will be permitted without prior contact with the marina office. Berth holders are requested to maintain communication via VHF Channel 80 always and to contact the marina before entering or exiting the marina.
We thank you for your co-operation during this time.
E-Brochure on Facebook
We are currently focusing a lot of attention on to our Conwy Marina Facebook page to help you have important information at your fingertips.
On our page you will now be able to find a 2018 Handbook E-Brochure, this is located on the left hand panel (currently desktop computer only). You will be directed to a site where you will be able to flick through the pages and find a host of information about Conwy Marina.
Resident berth holders will also have been sent a more traditional paper copy to their home address or of course you can pick up copy at the marina office.
Local Notice to Mariners - 02/2018
All mariners are hereby advised that scheduled dredging activities will be taking place at the Conwy Harbour access jetty (opposite the Liverpool Arms) for the next two to three weeks.
The work boat ‘Jac y Do’ will be restricted in her ability during dredging operations and mariners are requested to keep 25m clearance. Should jetty access be required during operations then the vessel should be contacted on VHF channel 14. A further notice will be issued when dredging operations are complete.

Notice to Berth Holders - Conwy Marina Sill Gate
We are pleased to inform all berth holders that the severed electric cable to the south tower has been successfully replaced and the sill gate traffic lights are now fully operational.
Berth holders are advised that sill gate operations will not take place during the hours of darkness and during any severe inclement weather. Vessels wishing to access or egress the marina during this time are asked where possible, to navigate close to high water with the gate in a raised position and to contact the Marina for depth clearances.
Vessels wishing to access or egress outside of these hours are asked to request a gate operation giving as much notice as possible.
Reducing sill gate operations during the quieter winter months has proven to help significantly reduce the levels of siltation in the marina during these peak months and we thank you for your continued co-operation.

Network Yacht Brokers Boat of the Month - Moya - Steel Gaff Ketch - £99,000
'Moya' was launched in 1997, designed by Ernst Van der Laan and built by MOF boat builders, Cape Town, to Norske Veritas standard. Originally intended as a boat to carry cargo, what is now her saloon had been designed as the hold with living accommodation aft. This plan however change rapidly after launch and she was fitted out as a private yacht before leaving South Africa for South America. The family spent time cruising and living aboard between Brazil and New York with a lot of time in the Caribbean where she proved herself to be a very comfortable and safe family cruising yacht.
Bought by the present owners while in the Caribbean she was used as a cruising home in the tropics before being sailed back to the UK in 2012. She is a very spacious, very strong and eminently capable yacht with graceful lines and a powerful rig, suitable for exploring anywhere in the world. Her split ketch rig can be easily handled by a small crew and her deck layout gives good security and shelter, she is a magnificent yacht in very fine condition. UK registered and VAT paid.
Moya consists of 8 berths including 2 doubles and 4 singles. Owners cabin midships with large double berth. Doghouse has a double berth and lots of space with good visibility. Large galley with hot and cold pressurised water, fridge, twin sinks and gas stove, 2 heads compartments with one shower.
A one of a kind which would look very much at home in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Viewing highly recommended.
